what im loving..life.

Dear few blog followers,
I sincerely apologize for my lack of blogging lately. I really have no reason for my absence. I guess lack of motivation, creativity (not that I claim it on any previous posts), and too much time spent outside (shocker, not studying) has prevented me from blogging. But clearly it is exam time now, which provides the perfect opportunity to procrastinate by blogging.

*Everyone that is drawn to the visual aspect of blogs (as I am), you can disregard this post right now, for blogger will not cooperate and let me upload pictures..I know, LAME.

Well, since I cannot even begin to catch you up on the actual happenings I will just post things that I am loving in life right now, which is a lot.

1. Pandora. What a nifty little website. I am ashamed to say I just tried this website this week, and I am obsessed. It's like it knows my inner most musical likenings. Neat.

2. Sokol. It is a park in T-town, and it is beautiful. The perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon. And while we are on this topic..shout out to the Sun, thanks for making life so enjoyable lately, I am SO much happier when you are out!

3. My friends, that I will miss so dearly this summer.

4. G2- Have you tried this stuff? It's incredible, like seriously Gatorade with way fewer calories. I'll go ahead and include crystal light in this category too. Way to inventers of drinks with nothing in them. From my diet drinking heart to yours.. you are awesome!

5. The song Falling Slowly. It is beautiful..period.

6. Ben Rector. O. M. G. My friend Hannah showed him to me this week, and he is incredible. Listen to Loving you is Easy...No, really..go listen now. Such a cute little diddy.

7. My roommate. She is the shiz for not getting mad when I come jump on her bed for late night conversations. Also, she talks in "the voice" and understands my sense of humor that some can fail to grasp. Love you rooms!

8. Jimmy Fallon.

I am loving life right now, in general- I'm just happy. Maybe I have Seasonal Affective Disorder, because I swear my mood elevates when Winter ends, and Spring begins. Minus the school work, this semester has been wonderful. I can only begin to grasp the Father's love for me. Through the countless prayers He has answered this semester; I am in awe and forever thankful for all the blessings.

Hope everyone is having a great week. I should probably just go ahead and say I hope everyone has a wonderful summer, because I probably won't blog until then anyway.

Until next time..

last night was my dear friend kristen's twenty first birthday celebration! we had so much fun at dinner at tokoyo; we had a very entertaining chef..and waiter for that matter. the birthday girl got a nice note in her to-go box complete with his phone number! oww oww, get it girl!
my sweet friend abi, used her event planning skills to create this cute green and pink themed decor! note the 21 out of cupcakes!

we also made a list (shocker that we would do this) of twenty one things the birthday girl had to do on her birthday!these are some snapshots from the party!
hope everyone has a great weekend!

television happenings.

so this is not really a recent happening, but rooms has officially gotten me addicted to the view. i love finding out the "hot topics" through their bickering the different views90210 came on last night for the first time since december, and it has feels like it has been years. how i have missed this cast and all their drama. this is the only show besides the bachelor/bachlorette that i watch religiously (quality television here, folks). it's just so easy to get consumed in their drama, so i'm glad my friends have made it back to the big screen!

monday night, rooms and i were the only people in america who celebrated the jason and molly wedding and it was precious! so what if he proposed to melissa, clearly molly was the one he was supposed to end up with. we can only hope that jake will break up with bimbo vienna soon.

on the related television subject there are 2 movies coming out that i really wanna see:

1. the new miley cyrus movie- the last song. her boo is cute, and the previews look good. i'm just convinced i will love it.
2. remember me- looks emotionally intense, and i predict a few tears will be shed.

both, i cannot wait to see. happy wednesday.

motivation: lacking.

right now i am in good ol amelia gorgas (fav library) lookin at the sun shine through the window wishing i could be out in it, and listening to my neighbors chit chat. not that their talking should bother me, since i am clearly doing nothing to advance my academic career.

is it just me or is this the hardest time ever to concentrate on school? it's so pretty outside (thank you, Jesus..and i mean that with sincerity), and its that blah middle time of the semester.

BUT in 7 more short days, i will be heading..

HERE! to charleston, south carolina. i am so excited, because south carolina is my favorite state and charleston is an area that i have never been to before. this is the first spring break in a long while that i have not gone to the beach, so i'm excited to trying something different! i'm looking forward to this relaxing spring break twenty ten with friends!

to all my friends who need the motivation to survive until spring break--we are ALMOST THERE!

BACK by NOT so popular demand.

hi everyone! how has life been lately? hope it is lovely for all!
here's what my life as liz (corny tv show reference-don't hate) has looked like lately:

1. rach came to visit! i had so much fun with her here, we went to the alabama baseball game (pictured above), and chucks (yum.), rented couples retreat (ehh), and had some serious deep convo (as always).
2. i knocked one of my "twenty things to do in twenty ten" items off my list last weekend! i tried depalmas, an italian restaurant i have been wanting to try since i came to school. it was DELISH!
3. one cup of this stuff and i am the freakin enegizer bunny. but thats right, i am now a coffee drinker. as my dad says i have joined the "coffee club". i am still working on the perfect cup concoction, but i am definitely learning to love it! i drink black coffee- because i do not want to become addicted to the high calorie/ high carb latte, mochas, etc.

4. i listened to the radio ALL the way home today (from t-town to b'ham-and i NEVER listen to the radio).. and i found the cutest country song by joe nichols. my favorite verse is:
Gimmie the girl that's beautiful,
Without a trace of makeup on,
Barefoot in the kitchen,
Singing her favorite song.
Dancing around like a fool,
Starring in her own little show,
Gimmie the girl the rest of the world,
Isnt lucky enough to know.
one word: aww.
5. i am reading a book, The Devil in the White City, for my AMS class. i am not excited about the required material, but as books go it is interesting and pulls in things i am learning in all of my classes. writers from lit are mentioned, a even a forensic psychologist we briefly studied this semester was mentioned in the novel and i thought that was so cool. i love it when my classes tie together. NERD ALERT, NERD ALERT!
happy weekend everyone!
i am home for the weekend and SO looking forward to my homemade meal tonight..pork roast that has been cooking all day. mmm, i can smell it now.

two days short of a month.

it has been two days short of a month since i have posted. what has been going on in my life in the past month, you ask? school. school is ridiculously time consuming this semester, and honestly i am Not a fan.

however, today classes were cancelled for a beautiful snow day! i mean, it was gorgeous. so gorgeous that i haven't even minded looking at the 600 snow facebook albums posted today. also, interesting fact 49 out of the 50 states had snow on the ground today. is that not crazy? think how massive our country is and in every state there was atleast some snow on the ground. minus driving home in the snow this afternoon, i loved every part of it.
look at ballin' frostine. i had so much fun doing this, some things never change!

this was early morning in tuscaloosa where there was a blizzard. lynnlee and i walked to the quad and snapped some photos off. it was so pretty, but fuhh--rreeezing on the walk back. toes, hands, legs, face basically all body parts were numb.

i came home this weekend. it is the first weekend i have been home to stay the entire weekend in a while, and i am excited. i just breathe a sigh of relief when i'm home. i leave stress at the door, and it is just a secure place of comfort. right now, my rents and i are watching the opening ceremony around a fire. i'm not complaining.

happy weekend, everyone!
